Let the Adventure Begin Health Fair

September 23, 2014 – 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

In conjunction with the International Council of Active Aging, we’re hosting a FREE health fair to get you on the right track for living an active, health lifestyle. Come gather a wide range of health information resources, as well as specific information about your own health through various health screenings. Geriatrician Dr. Tom Triantafillou will kick off the event at 10 a.m. with a lecture on living an active, healthy lifestyle—don’t miss it!

Resilience in Older Adults: A Key to Successful Aging with Linda Hollinger-Smith, PhD, RN, FAAN

October 16, 2014 – 1:00 p.m.

Successful aging has been associated with having a positive outlook in life and being able to bounce back from adversity. Vice President of Mather LifeWays Institute of Aging, Dr. Hollinger-Smith, will share the key strategies to build and support “resilient thinking” that will help you achieve happiness and a greater quality of life, even as you age. Dr. Hollinger-Smith has worked and taught in the field of aging for more than 30 years.
